Adding a ceiling island right hook, the island in the kitchen. Here they like tin, ceiling, tiles plus it'll have several pendant lights. That will be coming down off the ceiling island here. These boards cut out to create kind of the spine support for the ceiling item that we're making and I cut out a hole there to put in the light electrical box that will support the pendant light so meeting now. So this will actually be mounted up to the ceiling like this, so you just watch out I'll show you how I put it up there, and this gives you no idea where craft also to I drilled holes.
The drill pulls that will support right up to the ceiling and those holes are lined up with the studs on the ceiling so that this whole board will be centered over the island. But then these line up of the stud so that we are making sure that we mount directly to the studs of these boards to hold up the whole framework and time pin tiles and the lights as well. All that weight will be mounted to the actual floor. To open up the package of the beat tin ceiling tiles and when you open these packages, be sure to have some gloves even some clothing to cover the skin, because these are super sharp, its raw steel and fairly thin and can cut very dangerously so we're going to open this up here, so we have these tin ceiling tiles I ordered from American tin ceiling. There are several companies online.
This particular company had a good variety of 24 inch by 24 inch tin ceiling tile that I wanted to order. So that's that's what we're looking at here and let's take a look at these 24 inch by 24, inch real raw steel and they look. They look great. They have a nice profile indentation to them and we're going to actually cut out of the corners of all of these, not all the corners, but each tile will have some cutting and that will that will allow us to hang the pendant lights. The pendant lights need to be into the corner intersections of these tiles and to do that we'll be using just some tents nippers to cut out of the shape, so we can hang the pendant lights from the intersection points of these tiles.
