Color ideas for your high ceiling. There are a variety of different choices out there. I'm gonna say that it is depending on what kind of feeling you want to create in the space with a high ceiling. If you go for a lighter tone, that's gonna create a more open space. It's gonna create a lighter feeling. It's gonna create a sense of openness. If you do a darker ceiling, it's gonna create a cozier feeling. The darker color actually brings down the ceiling, so it's a more intimate space and then a third option, which is one of my favorites, is a metallic paint that you can put on to the high ceiling and the metallic paint does a couple of things one.
It reflects the light that comes into space and it creates a whole bunch of dynamic energy in the space and it draws the energy up there as a holistic designer and a function. Why specialist? I use the metallic paint on ceilings all the time in order to lift the Qi. So let's go back to the first option. If you choose to go for a light color, what it does is it makes the ceiling disappear. White tends to hide the architectural details. Thus, making space seem even larger, and I'm gonna say that I use Benjamin Moore paint and they have over 500 White's. So there is a large selection that you can go for. It really depends on what it is that you're looking for. Are you looking for a white that has more of a yellow tone in it or white with more of a rose tone, blue tone? It all depends on what the rest of the scheme is but know that there is no such thing as just a white. You really need to think about what tint you want to have in that white before you select it in regards to the darker warmer colors, I'm going to suggest that you go for something such as a taupe. Taupe is a wonderful color.
That is a combination of yellows and browns, and it really has a natural earthy tone to it and it makes space feel intimate. You can go for the more dramatic feeling if your space and your theme, your decorating theme, can handle it. I have seen ceilings that have been royal blue, bright, red and evil emerald green. It really depends on what it is that you're looking for, but remember the darker your ceiling, and it's going to close down your high ceiling. My favorite again is metallic paints. The shimmering color always creates a sense of dynamic.
